Rebrand of HEADCASE, England Rugby’s Concussion Awareness programme



Short intro

Following the publication of the Government’s UK Concussion Guidelines for Grassroots Sport, England Rugby had to update its HEADCASE concussion awareness resources for the rugby community. The brief was for a crisp, modern and contemporary brand personality, one that would capture the attention of those responsible for player welfare – rugby coaches, referees, teachers and volunteers.

Solution: The design of a new logo based on the concept of the eye and the brain within an oval shape. A radical re-working of the original HEADCASE colour palette and the use of abstract graphical shapes to illustrate concepts. The design of a series of pdf guides and resources for the KeepYourBootsOn! platform. The creation of a virtual studio using the new design for the production of video assets.
